Linxdatacenter confirms compliance of its virtual infrastructure and data centers with PCI DSS
Linxdatacenter, an international provider of data storage, cloud and telecom solutions, confirmed fully meeting the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard 3.2.1 requirements for cloud providers and data centers.
The PCI DSS certificate attests to high level of security and reliability of the company’s IT services including virtual solutions (IaaS). During the audit conducted by Compliance Control Ltd all physical, virtual and network infrastructure of Linxdatacenter, its software and security systems were evaluated. Independent experts studied organizational and technical security measures related to cloud and colocation services, along with supporting documentation.
The standard contains requirements regarding security of data on payment card holders. The requirements were developed to prevent unauthorized access of information that would put confidentiality and monetary assets of cardholders at risk. The requirements apply to many aspects of security, covering information security systems on physical and application level, protection of network infrastructure, data access administration and authentication mechanisms, events and actions logging, security management of data infrastructure.
Infrastructure of the company’s data centers in Moscow and Saint Petersburg including server rooms, access and CCTV systems, had already been certified earlier for PCI DSS compliance. With new certification, cloud solutions were added to the list of Linxdatacenter’s services fully corresponding with the PCI DSS requirements.
