BSI confirms compliance of Linxdatacenter with the ISO 9001:2015 and ISO/IEC 27001:2013 standards
Linxdatacenter has confirmed its compliance with the ISO 9001:2015 and ISO/IEC 27001 standards and changed the ISO auditing and certifying organization. The company’s new partner in this field is the British Standards Institute (BSI). This is one of the oldest and most reputable organizations in the standardization and certification of management systems. BSI had originally initiated the international process that resulted in foundation of the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) in 1947 and further development of standards in different areas of economics.
Collaboration of Linxdatacenter with BSI in ISO certification is another step of the company aimed at establishing sustainable business processes and future independent attestation. Earlier in 2018 the company has received the Management & Operations Stamp of Approval from the Uptime Institute and confirmed compliance with the PCI DSS v.3.2 for its Saint Petersburg data center.
In the past, ISO certification of Linxdatacenter had been handled by organizations based in EU and having no permanent representation in Russia, but with development of the company’s business in Moscow and Saint Petersburg it was decided to transfer ISO audit to Russia. One of the key requirements, aside from the reputation and expertise of the certifying organization, was its ability to carry out all necessary auditing procedures in Russian and English. This requirement is stipulated by the company’s international status and obligatory preparation of all maintenance documents and manuals in two languages. The Russian representative office of BSI was the only organization meeting these criteria.
In summer 2018 Charles Corrie, the Secretary for ISO committees at BSI, has paid a visit to Linxdatacenter Saint Petersburg. He gave a high appraisal to dedicated work of Linxdatacenter’s staff in ensuring compliance with the field standards and information security norms. The BSI auditors have currently confirmed full compliance of the management system of Linxdatacenter with requirements of the ISO 9001:2015 and ISO/IEC 27001:2013 standards.

Uptime Institute, the global DC expert community, notes positive dynamics in this field: the share of data centers worldwide reporting serious interruptions dropped from 11% in 2020 to 6% in 2021.
